I wanted to share an example of how I used AI in this story, from this story. I know everyone has an opinion on AI and some are wholly against it, others are indifferent. I choose to look at it as a tool. Its not plagiarizing an entire story, nor is it just making stuff up on its own unrestrained. Its all about how you use it, and how to ethically use it in a creative space. In addition any chapter art you see is generated using AI because i’m in a draft phase but I want to express to you what I’m trying to portray, and with aphantasia its difficult for me to do so. So just know any AI art you see is probably been refined with AI no less than 10x to come to whatever I’ve presented as draft chapter art. when the chapter status changes to final, the art will also be finalized with an artist, hopefully.

This was a monumental trip to a parallel universe in which I learned many secrets of the universe including figuring out how I came to be. This world was similar to ours, but the beginning; oh the beginning had promise, but I didn’t know any of this at the start when I first entered this world I was dead. I’m not alive or dead I dont think, I’m not sure, but who I was attached to was riding in was not alive he was a corpse in the back of a hatchback being driven by a young woman of barely 20. I’d never been dead when leaping across the universe before so it took a few minutes to get my bearings and my senses working,
AI Enhanced
This was to be a monumental trip to a parallel universe in which I learned many secrets of the universe including figuring out how I came to be. However, when I first arrived in this world, I had no knowledge of any of this; in fact, I was dead. I’m not alive or dead; I don’t think, I’m not sure, but the person I was attached to was not alive he was currently a corpse in the back of a hatchback. I call myself Ande Chesterwin and this is when I learned who I was.
As consciousness flickered into existence, Ande found themselves tethered to an unfamiliar vessel—cold, lifeless, yet somehow anchoring. The rough texture of a car’s upholstery pressed against their non-corporeal form, a sensation both alien and intriguing. Disorientation swirled through Ande’s being as they struggled to make sense of their surroundings.
*Where am I this time?* Ande mused silently, their thoughts echoing in the void of their consciousness. *Another journey, another fragment of existence to explore.*
The realization dawned slowly, like the creeping tendrils of morning fog. They were attached to a corpse, a human body devoid of life, yet still magnetic in its pull on Ande’s ethereal form. The intimacy of death was a new experience, one that sent a shiver through Ande’s formless essence.
So what did I do?
Well I actually used several of the AI tools in this section. I utilized rewrite to rephrase things, particularly in paragraph one. I used description suggestions, that come as sight, sound, touch, smell and metaphor to help paragraph 2 describe the corpse and the seats of the car. I took suggestions the AI made and chose which ones worked for what I was trying to achieve and integrated them.
